Het bevat Eric Dolphy (altsax, klarinet), Booker Ervin (tenorsax), Ron Carter ( cello), Joe Benjamin (contrabas) en Charlie Persip (drums). Waldron componeerde alle zeven nummers die ergens tussen hardbop en avant garde liggen, inclusief de jazzstandaard Fire Waltz.
